A joyous celebration of the goddess Brigid, honoring healing and the first stirrings of spring. May Her fires of inspiration and healing restore us. Candles may be lit from the one hived from another lit at Kildare. Imbolc Ritual, Bardic Circle, Drumming at the Fire, and Potluck Feast. Families are welcome. Meet and feed the goats at Bradley Mountain farm! Please let us know ahead what you will be bringing for the potluck when you RSVP here on this FB event. Plan a tray of something to feed 20 people and something to drink (non-alcoholic/dry site). Kitchen is not being rented - bring a warmer if necessary.
3 pm Open for set up of food, socialize, feed the goats, take a walk and explore the beauty outdoors by Crescent Lake.
Parking: All areas are level, and easily accessed. If you are handicapped please let us know IN ADVANCE so we can make it easier for you with parking. The goat farm handles parking.
(If you would like to help with set up, come 10 minutes early.)
4:00 pm-ish Imbolc ceremony honoring Brigid is indoors in the Tavern Room (with fireplace). Ritual will be Celtic themed, but in Odyssean Wicca ritual format which includes some liturgy is standard for us (no, it's not Greek).
5 pm-ish Feasting and 🙂 Bardic Circle, please bring a favorite piece of poetry or a song to share after ritual - it too is an offering.
6 pm-ish Drumming outdoors by the fire if weather permits.
7 pm close.
$20 monetary donations accepted to cover rental, kids free, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Kindly, be generous if you can. Rent including fire is 450.
Please also bring a non-perishable item for Spooner House, which is both a shelter and a food bank. Any left overs will be brought there following the event.
No vendors, this is a sacred religious event. Not entertainment.
