About this Event
Please join the Oakland Diocese's African American Pastoral Center and the St. Joan of Arc Parish in a celebration of Black Catholic History Month.
The celebration is in honor of the Catholic Church's Saintly Six, a group of six African American Women and Men currently in the canonization process to become Saints in the Catholic Church. Through their Faith and heroic work, the Saintly Six have made a significant impact on the Catholic Church in the United States and throughout the world.
The celebration shall begin with a presentation by Dr. Chiquita Tuttle Coordinator of the Oakland Diocese's African American Pastoral Center (AAPC) followed by a Scriptural Rosary service led by the St. Joan of Arc Peacemakers and the St. Joan of Arc Daily Rosary Group.
The celebration shall be held in the St. Joan of Arc Parish Church on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The presentation shall begin at 9:30am after the 9:00am Morning Mass.
