IT’S TIMEEEEE to announce the first A Big Gay Market of the YEAR! 🌈 We are feeling more aligned than ever to gather again in queer and gender expansive JOY on Sunday, April 27th from 11AM - 4PM at Washington Park on Knox St Mall in Albany!This market features 120 vendors, several food trucks & beverage vendors, a community area, a free kids tent sponsored by Refuge Troy AND a new ✨Wellness Section✨ featuring some community programming curated by Cheyenne of Womb2WombAdornments!

Our new ✨Wellness Section✨features local wellness centers, somatic healers, herbalists, bodyworkers, and other wellness practitioners in the 518. This section of the market was added in response to the increasing pressure and violence towards queer & gender-expansive individuals in our nation and our need to be able to ground, recenter, and care for ourselves and each other. Thank you to the healers who are sharing their gifts with us this market 🫂
🌱Land/People Acknowledgement✊ A Big Gay Market welcomes and challenges our community to acknowledge and sit with the reality that the land we celebrate on also resides on the sacred homeland of the Haudenosaunee, Schaghticoke, and Mohican people. We do not turn away from the fact that our ability to gather here is a direct result of colonialism which displaced those who are the true stewards of this land. One of the core pillars of A Big Gay Market is spirit - and in that spirit - we will embody humility and openness.
