A Beginners guide to Knitting in the Round | Manchester Wool & Yarn

Ready to take your knitting off the straight needles? This relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to the basics of knitting in the round.

What we’ll covering:

• casting on
• joining your work without twisting your stitches
• What needles to use and when
• knitting and purling in the round
• using stitch markers
• working simple ribbing
• troubleshooting some of the common mistakes you might encounter.
• casting off

You’ll leave with the confidence to start tackling your own circular knitting projects, from hats and cowls to sleeves and beyond.

Please bring your own DK-weight yarn and a 4mm 40 & 80cm circualar needle (these can be bought on the night)
