A Balanced View of the Election Results

In a time when our national political life is increasingly hyper-partisan, the League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization. We will have a balanced analysis of the outcome of the 2026 midterm election and what it means to our League.
On January 20, 2027 at 5:30pm, we will have a LWV dinner at Elijah’s and hear discussion on this topic from Stephen Goggin, an Associate Professor of Political Science at SDSU.
He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. His interests center on partisan polarization in modern American politics, particularly its role in shaping voters' ability to hold politicians accountable. He focuses on how information in media and electoral campaigns can distort public perceptions of politicians and the institutions themselves, and, in turn, affect the strategic behavior of those inhabiting those institutions.
Join us for dinner and time together as LWVSD members as we begin a new calendar year. The cost for dinner will be $36.
