9th Annual Winters Salmon Festival
About this Event
The Winters Salmon Festival is held every year to honor the return of Chinook salmon (also known as King Salmon) to Lower Putah Creek. Salmon return to Putah Creek around October every year in order to spawn. This migration has grown and in recent years we have welcomed over 2,000 salmon!
This festival celebrates the collaborative effort to restore portions of Putah Creek, which resulted in the arrival of a salmon run. The return of salmon shows the resilience of nature to bounce back when the community comes together to help.
Join us in welcoming salmon back to Putah Creek with live music, children's activities, food trucks, and more!
