Welcome Back!
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Central Texas recovery community will be hosting the Ninth Annual Recovery in the Park event at Fair Market in Austin from 5pm to 9pm.
In 2022, after a three year break due to the COVID pandemic, we wanted to bring the event back with a bang, and so we didn’t hold anything back in bringing you Austin’s biggest and best recovery event of the year. Another incredible move we made was partnering with Big Texas Rally for Recovery to be the official event for Austin. This partnership and your participation brought roughly 1200 people celebrating recovery out to Mueller Lake Park. We had to unexpectedly move in 2023, but Pease Park turned out to be a blessing and another very successful year of this spectacular community event. We endured a record-breaking hot summer together and still managed to have a great time. Based on community feedback that we received, in 2024 we opted for an evening event, later in the month, with an INDOOR / OUTDOOR option so everyone could stay cool. It was such a hit, that in 2025, we are back at Fair Market!
What is Recovery in the Park?
In 2015, a handful of recovery community organizations led and governed by representatives of the local recovery community saw a need that was missing in the Austin community and decided to do something about it. From there, Recovery in the Park was born. Each September during Recovery Month, this event brings out local musicians to share the stage with inspiring speakers from the community. Guests enjoy music while connecting with local recovery organizations at booths, gathering resources, engaging in fair-style activities and games, and eating FREE food we provide each year. And much more!
This year's event will be an indoor / outdoor event. Outside will be our main stage, food trucks, and activities. This year we have access to a beautiful large, air conditioned, event hall that will hold space for our sponsors and community partners to table, as well as space for activities they may bring (we will have space outside for larger activities). We will also have a space inside with some additional programming and entertainment.

Plus, each supporting organization with a booth will provide its own activity to make for endless opportunities to have fun with your friends and family!
For a fourth year, Recovery in the Park joins Big Texas Rally for Recovery to make it even bigger and better and bring out the masses to get a taste of what recovery can look like. All are welcome to attend, so bring out everyone you know.
