Opening Night Filmmaker Mixer

The festival begins with an evening dedicated to conversation, connection, and community. Filmmakers, cast, crew, friends, family, and film enthusiasts are invited to meet this year’s participating artists and celebrate the opening of the festival.
No festival pass or ticket is required.

Official Film Screenings
Screenings begin at 1:00 PM each day

Experience two full days of officially selected feature films, short films, music videos, documentaries, animation, experimental cinema, and stories from New Mexico and around the world.
Individual screening block tickets may be purchased at the theater or online at:

Guests planning to attend more than one screening block can save by purchasing a Day Pass or All-Access Pass. **Pass holders also receive $1 off beer at Tractor Brewing Nob Hill during the event.** Must be 21+ with a valid ID.

The day begins with a special featured conversation highlighting an accomplished guest from the world of film, television, or the creative arts.

Screenwriters Q&A
Meet the writers behind this year’s officially selected screenplays during a live conversation about the art and process of screenwriting.
The featured screenwriters will discuss the inspiration behind their stories, how their scripts evolved, the challenges they encountered along the way, and where they hope to take their projects next.
Mindfield Costume Design Contest: Live Fashion Show
See the finalist designs from the Mindfield Costume Design Contest brought to life onstage through runway presentation and performance.
Each original costume will be worn by an actor-model selected specifically for the showcase, presenting the design through a runway walk and a short character-driven performance.
The Mindfield Film Festival Awards Ceremony
The festival reaches its grand finale as we recognize the extraordinary filmmakers, screenwriters, performers, and artists behind this year’s official selections.
Join us as the 2026 Mindfield Film Festival awards are presented and the outstanding achievements of this year’s participants are celebrated.
Music throughout the evening will be provided by PartyTime DJ and Event Services LLC, with a special live performance by Daniella Wagy.
All Sunday events are open to the public. No festival pass or ticket is required.

Immediately following the Awards Ceremony, the celebration continues at:
Tractor Brewing Company, Nob Hill
Filmmakers, guests, friends, family, and members of the community are invited to join us as we close the 9th Annual Mindfield Film Festival Albuquerque.
