Join us on October 11th starting at 9 AM at Prince Solms Park for the 9th Annual Dos Rios Watershed Cleanup. Each year, the City hosts a city-wide litter cleanup event in an effort to reduce the litter in our creeks and rivers and to raise awareness of the importance of keeping our water resources clean and healthy.Event Information
Join us on October 11th starting at 9 AM at Prince Solms Park for the 9th Annual Dos Rios Watershed Cleanup. Each year, the City hosts a city-wide litter cleanup event in an effort to reduce the litter in our creeks and rivers and to raise awareness of the importance of keeping our water resources clean and healthy. For the event, volunteers arrive at Prince Solms Park to check-in with city staff and to select a cleanup location. We can offer cleanup locations in city parks throughout the city. We provide almost everything you need:
A Dos Rios Event T-shirt - check out the cool fox logo for this year provided by event sponsor COPILOT CREATIVE CO.!
Cleanup supplies such as mesh bags, trash grabbers, and gloves
Breakfast provided by event sponsors 2TARTS BAKERY, WICKED VOODOO ESPRESSO and LAS PALAPAS MEXICAN RESTAURANT; we will also have fruit, granola bars, and bottled water available for volunteers
Please note that volunteers may need to walk into locations with uneven surfaces and tall vegetation. It is recommended to wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt to protect your skin from sharp objects, insects, and the sun. It is also advised to bring your own bug spray and sunscreen.

Picking up Litter on the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers
Are you interested in paddling a raft or using a stand up paddle board to pick up litter in the river? Opportunities are available for groups to use a river raft or SUP for the Dos Rios event. For rafting volunteer opportunities, contact Phillip Quast by email or calling 830-221-4651.
