9th Annual Chalkfest Maple Grove
Selfie poses with 3D art chalk-stained fingers and downward looking spectators gathering in downtown Maple Grove are common sights during Chalkfest Maple Grove which draws more than 25000 spectators annually. Taking place Saturday and Sunday June 8th and 9th Chalkfest Maple Grove is a free 2-day street art festival with entertainment food and family fun sponsored by Experience Maple Grove and Kimco Realty.
Chalkfest will feature sidewalk chalk art by more than 40 professionals amateurs and art enthusiasts from around the world and as far away as Mexico Ukraine and Colombia. Main Street Maple Grove is transformed into a street art gallery open for public viewing. Don’t forget to snap a photo on one of the 3D art pieces! Talk about AMAZING selfies! There are also public chalking areas and mandalas or circles with repeating symmetrical shapes which are considered a sacred symbol and allow for endless color and creativity for spectators of all ages.
Chalkfest Maple Grove will also feature a live music stage OMNI Brewing Beer Garden and an expanded area within the festival located one block north of Arbor Lakes Parkway which will offer a NEW Kids Zone as well as artists vendors food and more.
