9th Annual Celebrity Roast

LAUGHING TOGETHER. BUILDING COMMUNITY. CHANGING LIVES.
For over 20 years, Macedonia Family Resource Center has been High Point's grassroots answer to breaking barriers and creating pathways to opportunity, one family, one dream at a time. This October, we're celebrating that work the way we do best: together, over dinner, with a few laughs.
Join us Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the High Point Country Club for the 9th Annual Celebrity Roast, honoring Megan Oglesby for her service and leadership in our community. It's one night. But what it funds lasts all year.
When you buy a ticket, sponsor a table, or give what you can, you're not just supporting an event; you're investing in people. You're part of the reason a child gets a library card instead of a locked door. A parent gets a budget instead of a bill they cannot pay. A senior gets a friendly face instead of another lonely afternoon. A young man gets a mentor instead of a mugshot.
That's what "grassroots" means at Macedonia. We're not a distant organization handing down services. We're neighbors showing up for neighbors again and again.
Every dollar raised at the Roast goes directly to programs like:
- Food Pantry — nutritious groceries, no questions asked, distributed with dignity
- Financial Literacy Workshops — budgeting, credit, and savings skills for lasting stability
- Police Mentoring — trusted officers building relationships with local youth
- Youth Enrichment — baseball, dance, piano, and after-school tutoring that builds character and confidence
- Satellite Library — free books, technology, and a quiet place to learn
- Senior Support Services — connection and care for our elders
OUR IMPACT IN NUMBERS
-3,500+ families served annually
- 250+ youth empowered
- 20+ years of grassroots innovation
These numbers are real lives changed — students who found their love of learning, parents who found financial stability, seniors who no longer feel isolated, and a community that grows stronger together.
You Belong Here
Whether you're a longtime supporter, a first-time guest, or someone who believes High Point families deserve a fair shot, there's a seat for you at this table. Buy your ticket, sponsor the evening, or give directly today. Every gift, big or small, fuels opportunity.
