30 min match time and 30 second shot clock
We will spread the matches out so people have space to shoot with no interference
40 points is 1 game, max 4 games, whoever is in the lead at the end of the match time is the winner.
Tie breaker is 6 ball shoot out
International 8 ball rules apply here is a summary of the major differences compared to bca and I the rule sets
After the break/Starting the game
There is a specific way to rack the balls every time and the 8 goes on the spot, you must have a certain number I believe 3 balls either pockets or go pass the side pockets for a legal break.
If you break and the cue ball flys off the table it’s Ball in hand anywhere
If in you scratch in the pocket it’s in the kitchen but you can shoot in ANY direction even at a ball in the kitchen.
The table is open after the break. You must declare what balls you are trying to make. You must hit the suit you intended to pot first when making the ball. Aka you can not shoot a mixed combo: a stripe into a solid to be solids. If you do this is simply loss of turn and the table is still open.
Unique situations/ rules to keep in mind
if the balls are froze you are automally given a god hit and can simply roll the ball to the rail. If you shoot in the ball it must be at 90 degrees
If you’re froze to the opponents ball this rule is suspended.
No jumping even with playing cue
Loss of rack if …
Intentionally fouling( to tie up ball)
&
Loss of rack if
You intentionally give ball in hand…you can’t just give ball strategically in hand you must attempt a legal hit
&
Loss of rack if
If the ball is going to scratch and you put your hand in the pocket that’s a loss, you must let the ball finish rolling.
BCA rules apply to potting the 8 ball. If you make the 8 and scratch in a pocket or off the table that is a loss.
If you accidentally foul while shooting the 8 in the pocket or off the table and the 8 stays on the table you don’t lose.
