Meet in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at A.Z. Young Park to raise awareness of suicide prevention across Louisiana.
988 Day at the Capitol is a statewide celebration of mental health, hope, and suicide prevention in Louisiana. Together, we'll raise awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, highlight the lifesaving work happening in communities across our state, and celebrate the organizations, providers, advocates, and individuals making a difference every day. This event brings together people from every corner of Louisiana to strengthen connections, share resources, inspire hope, and continue building a future where everyone has access to support when they need it most!
New this year: Due to ongoing renovations to the Louisiana State Capitol and Capitol steps, both the rally and community resource fair will be held at A.Z. Young Park.
