Join CASA of the Heartland for our 90 Miles in Their Shoes virtual run/walk event! From July 1, 2025 through October 24, 2025, participants will walk, run, or move a total of 90 miles - symbolizing the journey of the 90 children on CASA's waiting list and the need for an advocate to be in their corner.
This is more than just a virtual event. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds to help CASA of the Heartland recruit, train, and support volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in Hardin, Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue, and Meade counties. Complete your miles at your own pace and in your own time—whether that’s a mile a day or a few longer outings each week.
Be sure to share your journey and photos with us using #90milesintheirshoes. The goal is that with every mile completed, you walk or run in honor of those children who need a CASA. Put yourself in a child's shoes to make a positive impact and change a child’s story.
Registration is open until September 7.
90 Miles Community Celebration
The 90 Miles In Their Shoes event will culminate with an in-person Community Celebration on Friday, October 24th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm ET at Northside Baptist Church (1800 Pear Orchard Road, Elizabethtown, KY). We invite participants and community members to come out on October 24th to walk one mile together in honor of the 90 children who need a CASA. The Community Celebration will also feature food trucks, vendors, and fun activities! 90 Miles participants can pick up their shirt and medal during Community Celebration event.
