9/11 25th Anniversary Ceremony - City of Bowie
About this Event
As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the City of Bowie invites the community to come together to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, remember the families and survivors forever changed, and to recognize the first responders and service members who answered the call.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. on the front steps of Bowie City Hall. It will include remarks from City Council and other local leaders, an honor guard presentation, and a silent commemorative walk around Centennial Pond.
Please join us as we pause together to reflect, honor those we lost, and reaffirm a commitment that endures 25 years later: we will never forget.
In case of rain, the ceremony will be held inside Bowie City Hall.
