8th Annual Run for Your Life 5K

Come out to our family-friendly color run to have fun, fundraise for our non-profit, and help us raise awareness about substance misuse!
About this Event

Bring your family and friends (including the furry ones) to a fun run/walk for a cause! You can help us spread awareness about substance misuse in Alachua County and fundraise for our mission to provide prevention services to youth and adults in our community.

The event includes:

• Fitness instructor warm-up session,
• Narcan demonstration
• Free Breakfast -- Bananas, apples, granola bars, muffins, popsicles, etc.
• Community fair with plenty of resources from local organizations
• Plenty of raffle prizes - for example, a $50 Cheesecake Factory gift card!

There are six powder stations on the track, so be ready! At the end of the 5K, we will announce the raffle prize winners and hand out medals. To conclude, we'll have an Instagram-worthy group photo!

Register now to save with Early Bird prices until September 6th. Shirt sizes run out the closer we get to the race and cannot be guaranteed!

Do you have any old or unused medications sitting at home? Bring them with you to the 5K Color Run! HPW will collect and dispose of medications safely through Rx Destroyer at the event for free. All medications except for sharps (needles) and aerosols (asthma inhalers) are gladly accepted!

All proceeds from this event will help support the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness (HPW) Coalition, a non-profit organization that strives to prevent youth substance abuse and provide various health education opportunities to Alachua County residents.
