About the EventThe Rob Dollar Memorial Ride is more than just a ride—it’s a movement. Each year, cyclists come together to honor Rob’s legacy, advocate for safer streets, and celebrate Arizona’s vibrant cycling community.
This is a self-guided ride—choose the road, the trails, or both. Whether you’re climbing to the towers, heading to the San Juan Lookout, or mixing it up, this ride is about honoring Rob and riding with purpose.
Schedule of Events
☕ 7:15 AM – Arrival + Pre-Ride Coffee & Snacks (select vendors on site)
🎤 7:30 AM – Official Start, hosted by John Dollar
🚲 9:00–11:00 AM – Kids Bike Safety Class & Rodeo
🎟 10:00–10:45 AM – Raffles + Grand Prize Giveaway (must be present to win)
🎶 After the Ride – Community Zone with music, vendors, food + drinks, and a celebration of Rob
Route Options (Choose Your Challenge!)
Towers Climb (road): 4.8–5.4 miles | ~1,100 ft elevation gain. Not for beginners, but you don’t need to be a racer to summit.
San Juan Lookout (road): 5-mile round trip | ~100 ft elevation gain. Quick out-and-back with a fun return.
Mix it up: Customize your ride—trail, road, or both.
Important to Know
🚫 Roads will be closed to traffic, with exceptions for Phoenix Fire & Rescue (medical emergencies) and TV tower operations.
🔧 If you have a mechanical issue, recovery vehicles will only be available after 12:30 PM. Plan accordingly.
🪖 Safety first—helmets required. Hydration stations will be available.

Rob Dollar was a brother, friend, and passionate cyclist whose life was tragically cut short. The Rob Dollar Foundation exists to ensure no more lives are lost to unsafe roads. Every mile you ride supports our mission of bringing better safety and awareness to the cycling community.
