Join The "Classics" Car Club and the Monona County Veteran's Memorial Museum as we team up to bring the 8th Annual Veterans Memorial Car Show to Onawa, Iowa on Sunday, August 17th. Registration Open from 10:00am til 12'Noon, at the Monona County Fairgrounds next to the Onawa Museum Complex. Awards will be presented at 3:30pm in front of Veteran's Memorial.
Registration fee is only $20.00 per car with 50% of all entries being donated back to the Veteran's Memorial Museum for use on future additions to the Veteran's Museum Complex.
First 125 entries will receive an event dash plaque.
40+ Awards will be presented including:
* "Top 10 Veteran's Choice" with judging being done by members of the Monona County American Legion
* Speciality Awards will be presented for Best Mopar, Best Ford, Best Chevy, Best Lincoln/Mercury, Best Foreign, Best Race Car, Best General Motors, Best New Age - 2000 & Newer, Best Truck (1987 & Newer) Best Truck (1960-1986), Best Truck ('59 & Older), Best Corvette, Best Rat Rod, Best Lowrider, Best Camaro/Firebird, Best Ford Mustang, Best Jeep, Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Interior, Ladies Choice, Kids Choice, Best of Show Stock, Best of Show Modified, and Promoters Choice
* Sponsor Choice Awards
* Best Car Club Participation winner will receive a Trophy & $100 cash
* Motorcycle Awards for Top 3 in Stock and Modified Classes, plus Best of Show and Sponsors Choice Awards
* Tony Blatchford Memorial Awards presented to a special Vehicle & Motorcycle
Kids Show & Shine (Free Entry w/dash plaques while supplies last) two classes (Kids Ages 9 & Under and Kids 10-15) so bring out your Jr. Dragsters, Bikes, ATVs, Mini Bikes, Go Karts, Peddle Cars etc and come join the fun!!!
The Monona County Veteran's Museum, Kiwanis Museum Complex and the Monona County Historical Museum will be open for tours all day.
This is also being held in conjunction with Onawa's 43rd Annual Swap Meet & Flea Market Weekend at the Monona County Fairgrounds August 16-17, so there will be plenty of things for the Car Show people to do and look at during the day.
