They say most small businesses will fail in the first couple years. September 5th & 6th we will celebrate our 8th Anniversary since opening our doors. The original idea was to open a small estate furniture store featuring antiques and pre-owned furniture. Several years ago, we had the opportunity to acquire the inventory of a local Amish Furniture store, and our business model changed to include new American made furniture. The size of our store has doubled since opening, and we now have hundreds of pieces of New Amish Made Furniture in stock plus Estate & Antique Furniture. We also feature one of the largest collections of Fiesta Dinnerware in West Virginia and we have become a favorite for shoppers and dealers looking for antiques and closeouts. About half of our business is made up of special orders for dining room sets, bedroom sets, outdoor patio furniture, and solid wood office furniture. We are the only furniture store in the area where all our new furniture is made of SOLID Wood, and it is all MADE IN AMERICA. We buy from the same Amish furniture builders as the big tourist stores in Ohio, but our prices are much better locally!
We have managed to stay open by focusing on two big days each week. Most Fridays when I turn the corner into the parking lot, we have several cars waiting for the doors to open to see what treasures we have added each week. Perhaps the day will come when we can expand our staff and hours but for now come join the fun when we open the doors each Friday and Saturday 11-5 at 517 21st Street in Vienna WV. We add new items every week!
