On Saturday, August 8th, we'll officially launch Shelly's Law Coalition and begin our statewide petition drive to strengthen Illinois' animal cruelty laws.

Shelly was one of many innocent animals whose lives ended in unimaginable cruelty. Illinois law failed to deliver meaningful accountability. Together, we can change that.
We're looking for passionate volunteers who are willing to help collect petition signatures throughout their communities. Whether you can gather signatures from your neighborhood, workplace, local events, or fellow animal lovers, your help can make a real difference.
Shelly's Law will fight to:
1️⃣ End prison sentence credit for pretrial home electronic monitoring in felony animal torture cases.
2️⃣ Strengthen sentencing for crimes involving multiple animal victims.
Even if you only have a few minutes, stop by and sign the petition. If you'd like to do more, we'll have volunteer information and petition packets available so you can help take the campaign into your community.
Together, we can create stronger laws, real accountability, and a safer future for all animals.
