81st Anniversary of United Nations Day Gala
About this Event
The evening will celebrate the United Nations’ remarkable 81-year journey and its enduring commitment to advancing international peace and security, human rights, human dignity and sustainable development.
Under our 2026 theme, “Building Our Future Together: Peace, Dignity and Sustainable Development,” the event will highlight the importance of collective action and global cooperation in addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing our world today.
Joining us for this special celebration will be esteemed national and international guests, distinguished representatives of the Western Australian Government, recipients and nominees of the UN Day Awards, valued partners, members of UNAAWA and members of the wider community.
The event will take place at the elegant Duxton Hotel Perth on Friday, 16 October 2026, commencing at 6:00 pm. Registration and the drinks reception will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by formal proceedings from 6:30 pm.
As part of the evening’s celebrations, we will recognise the exceptional achievements of individuals and organisations within our local community who have worked tirelessly to create a safer, fairer and more sustainable world for all.

Format: The evening includes a drinks reception and delectable canapés before and after the formal proceedings, together with inspiring keynote addresses, the presentation of the UN Day Awards and cultural entertainment throughout the evening.
