8-Week Wellbeing Group for Carers (Women only, 18+)

Dates: 13 April – 15 June 2026 (No sessions on Bank Holidays 4 May and 25 May)

Time: Mondays, 2:30pm – 4:00pm

Location: Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service, 43 Park Square North, Leeds LS1 2NP

Are you a Carer? A carer is someone providing unpaid care for a friend or family member who, due to illness, frailty, disability, mental health issues or an addiction, cannot cope without their support. If you need some time to focus on YOU, we're here for you.

This FREE supportive, women‑only group is led by a qualified female therapist. The programme focuses on helping carers build their wellbeing, confidence, and self‑care. Over the 8 weeks, you will explore stress and anxiety, learn to recognise your own triggers, and develop practical strategies for emotional regulation.

Please note: this is a psycho‑educational group, not group therapy. The aim is to provide you with tools and understanding you can use in yourdaily lives.

If you register, we will send you an online form to complete by the 13th of March. You will be invited to attend a 1‑to‑1 initial meeting before joining the group. Please note, parking is limited. Bus travel can be reimbursed if needed.

You must be:

• Over 18 years of age
• Able to attend the majority of sessions
• Able to attend an initial 1-1 meeting
• A carer

We offer a full and varied programme of community and educational initiatives, as well as free psychotherapy for the most marginalised individuals. Staffed entirely by women and working only with women and families, we provide safe, supportive environments as well as the expertise and sensitivity our clients really need.
