8 week Qigong block, Flagstone

Qigong (Chinese Exercise Therapy) is a mindful way of moving that combines posture, breath, and coordinated flowing sequences to help you learn to move from your center.
In this class, you will learn a traditional Qigong form known as the Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades of Silk). Through regular practice, you will explore how to move your body with greater ease, initiate movement from your deep core, and develop smooth, connected movement patterns that support whole-body function.
Qigong gently assists the pumping of blood, lymph, and Qi (vital energy) throughout the body. It may also help improve fascial fitness by encouraging mobility and glide within the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body.
By the end of this program, you will receive a handout with the movements in the Ba Duan Jin sequence. You will also gain a basic understanding of the three regulations of body, breath, and mind—and how they work together to support mindful movement and overall wellbeing.
When practiced regularly, Qigong can become not only a way of moving your body but also a way of moving through life with greater balance, awareness, and ease.
The program will run over 8 weeks beginning at 7am Wednesday morning in the new Flagstone community center behind the water park. This block will start on Wednesday the 22nd of July 2026 and end on Wednesday the 9th of September. This first block will be capped at 10 participants.
To encourage commitment to the program and support regular attendance—even on those chilly 7:00 am winter mornings—this course is offered as an upfront payment package.
Program Fee: $200 plus GST (total $220) 50% deposit of $110 is due on enrollment to secure your place with the remaining due 10 days before commencement.
Payment must be made in full 10 days before the commencement of the 8-week block. If for any reason you cannot attend a class, you are more than welcome to gift it to a friend to come along. Contact Dawn via text 0400578043 or message this page to sign up or for more details.
