Break out the bell bottoms and dust off that disco ball. 8 Track is bringing the full-on 1970s experience to Harken Hall on April 25, and this is not your average throwback show.
Hailing from Nashville, 8 Track is made up of formerly signed and touring musicians with more than 100 years of combined professional experience. Individually, members of the band have worked with artists including Olivia Newton-John, Katy Perry, Paul Anka, Frankie Valli, Air Supply, Ty Herndon, Trace Adkins, Colin Raye, Thompson Square, Avalon, Natalie Grant and many more. The chops are real. The grooves are deep.
But when the lights go down, it is not just about credentials. It is about the vibe.
Collectively known by their alter egos Rick Jagger, Bootsy Porter, Kirby Hancock, Ringo Collins, Dan Halen and Skeeter Hampton, the band delivers a fully immersive, in-your-face entertainment experience. They dress in full 70s fashion. They talk like it is still 1976.
They interact with the crowd all night long without ever breaking character. From the first note to the final encore, you are stepping into a time machine.
And here is the kicker. Special guests from some of the original bands they are covering often show up to join the party. You never know who might hit the Harken Hall stage.
