8 CEUs Technique and Spirit of Thai Bodywork
This class will focus mainly on basic techniques of Thai bodywork. We will string together compressions, stretches and range of motion activities to create a simple sequence that you can share with family, friends or clients.
The compressions, stretches, and movements will be taught in a safe and comfortable way for our bodies as well as our client’s body. We will learn how to use our feet, knees, hands and thumbs for various purposes and effects. In addition, you will get a basic understanding of the theoretical and Buddhist foundation of Thai Bodywork just so you will have some context for the work you will learn.
Whether you are a massage therapist, yoga student or just interested in learning the basics of floor-based touch, you are welcome to join this class. If you have bodywork experience, you will find a ton of good and useful techniques that you will be able to translate directly into your practice. If you do not have bodywork experience, you will be given a great foundation from which to begin your exploration into the world of touch.
