Join We All Rise: African American Resource Center and Black Lives United as we gather for Green Bay's 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration.
This year's theme, Cold World. Brilliant People., honors the strategy, resilience, innovation, and brilliance that Black communities have demonstrated across generations.
Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Today, Juneteenth serves as both a celebration and a reminder of the ongoing work of building equitable, thriving communities.
For seven years, Green Bay's Juneteenth Celebration has created space for culture, connection, entrepreneurship, education, healing, and joy. What began as a community vision has grown into one of Northeast Wisconsin's largest celebrations of Black history, culture, and excellence.

Why This Event Matters
Juneteenth has never simply been entertainment.
