7th Annual Celebrate Tourism Summit

The 7th annual Celebrate Tourism Summit featuring the Southwest Virginia Tourism Awards Luncheon returns to the Wytheville Meeting Center on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, 8am - 2:30pm. Visit Wytheville, Virginia Tourism Corporation, and Friends of Southwest Virginia are thrilled to once again present this day of education, inspiration and networking. This event is open to all SWVA Region DMOs and Tourism & Hospitality partners and is presented FREE. Registration also includes the awards luncheon.

This year's Keynote speaker will be Al Hutchinson, a visionary leader, transformational destination marketer, and Founder of AVH Enterprise, a leadership development, strategic planning, and social impact consulting firm dedicated to elevating destination marketing organizations and travel industry professionals. Al's presentation will be titled “Leading with Love” and will focus on building strong, high-performing teams, retaining top talent, aligning around shared goals, and equipping leaders with practical strategies that elevate both people and places.

We are also happy to continue the pre-summit social on the evening of Monday, August 3rd. The social will be held at Red Stag restaurant located inside Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre (170 Malin Drive, Wytheville, VA 24382), 5pm-8pm. We hope you will join us the evening before the summit for a casual evening of networking, socializing, and catching up with colleagues from throughout the region.
