Join us for the 7th Annual Attica Remembrance Day, a free community gathering honoring the legacy of the Attica Uprising through food, music, art, education, and collective action.
Hosted by Prisoners Brain Trust, this year's theme, "Breaking Bread, Breaking Cycles," celebrates the power of community, connection, and justice. Inspired by past and present movements for liberation, we invite families, neighbors, advocates, and organizations to come together to share a meal, build relationships, and imagine communities rooted in care rather than punishment.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees will enjoy live performances, community art, healing activities, educational resources, and a free community BBQ. Together, we'll explore restorative justice, active citizenship, Pr*son abolition, and the collective work of creating safer, more inclusive communities.
