This year, Darnestown Elementary School marks a milestone - 70 years of learning, friendships, and Mustang spirit! We are honored to invite the entire community to celebrate with us at our 70th Anniversary of DES: Platinum Pumpkin Palooza on Saturday, November 8, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Darnestown ES.
From the very first graduating class in 1955 to today’s proud Mustangs, our story is seven decades strong. This celebration is for EVERYONE. Whether you are an alum, a current student or family, a former staff member, or simply a Mustang fan in our community, we are thrilled to welcome you.
Enjoy fun-filled fall festivities including a Mustang Memory Lane Mini Museum, school tours, games, hands-on science station, book fair, music, special staff lounge (for current and prior DES staff), food, festive autumn activities, and much more. The day will also feature a commemorative presentation to honor the day leading into our 4th Annual Pumpkin Plop Roof Drop - a DES PTA tradition you won’t want to miss!
