About this Event
Hop on your bike, enjoy a scenic bike tour around Mare Island, and finish with a fresh pint of Shop Bike
Mare Island Brewing Co. founder Kent Fortner is ready to take you on a guided bike tour through 142 years of shipyard history. Along the way, he'll share the lore, legends and local history that shaped Mare Island—and continue to inspire the beers we brew here today.
We’ll meet at our Coal Shed Brewery, then roll out for a casual guided ride with stops at:
🌴Alden Park
🕯️St. Peter’s Chapel
🪩 Pink Palace
🚢 Mare Island Dry Docks
🍺 Coal Shed Brewery for Post-ride Pints
Tickets are $20 and include:
- A guided 90-minute historical bike tour of Mare Island led by MIBC founder Kent Fortner
- 1 can of Dry Dock Hop Water for the ride
- 1 pint of Shop Bike Session IPA after the ride
Two Tours, Limited Space:
Limited to 25 riders per tour. Get your tickets for one of the dates below:
- Wed, July 8th at 5:30pm
- Thur, Jul 9th at 5:30pm
This is a 21+ event. Please bring your own bike and helmet, arrive a few minutes early, and be comfortable riding on public roads and around other riders. All riders must complete a waiver during checkout. Valid ID required for post-ride pints.
