Willis Alan Ramsey is an American singer-songwriter, considered a legend in Americana and Texas country music circles. He released his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 1972 on Leon Russell's Shelter Records. The album garnered critical acclaim and featured a unique blend of folk, country, and blues influences.Rumor has he he is set to release a new work very soon. His work has been covered by numerous notable artists, including Captain & Tennille (who had a major hit with "Muskrat Love", a cover of Ramsey's "Muskrat Candlelight"), Jimmy Buffett("The Ballad of Spider John"), Waylon Jenningsand Shawn Colvin ("Satin Sheets"), among others.
