This week will we meet at Forfar Park (in the parking lot) and walk towards Belwood along the Elora Cataract Trail. This trail leg is approx. 2.5kms one way.
Everyone is welcome ! Come out and meet new people from the community, make new friends get some fresh air and exercise. The walk should take approx 1hr in length.
Difficulty: Due to the distance of this walk it may be a bit difficult for those who have not completed a longer walk in a long time.
Terrain: packed snow on the well travelled path, flat
What to wear: Dress for the weather, you will warm up as we get into the walk. Supportive pair winter hiking boots. Water, gloves, hat. You may wish to wear a head lamp, or bring a flash light, micro spikes would be helpful walking in the snow. Snowshoes are welcome !
Pace: The pace has been pretty consistent the last 2 walks (not too slow / not too fast - average 5kmph).
