Strawberry season is in full bloom in April, and Ponchatoula is gearing up for its busiest weekend of the year, the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, which brings over 300,000 people into the city.During the festival, thousands of visitors walk up and down 6th Street throughout the day, making it one of the busiest and most heavily traveled streets during Strawberry Festival weekend.
While the Strawberry Festival grounds focus on food, entertainment, and activities, arts and craft vendors are not hosted on the festival grounds. That’s where 6th Street Berry Market Days comes in.
Located directly on 6th Street in downtown Ponchatoula, this market provides a dedicated space for craft vendors, artisans, boutiques, and a limited number of food vendors to sell during the same weekend and operating hours as the Strawberry Festival.
Craft vendors will be comfortably set up under a covered awning, making this a great shopping experience rain or shine.
