Each year we come together as a global Mermaid Straw community and kick off #PlasticFreeJuly right by hosting a world wide cleanup event on the last Saturday of June. This year marks our 6th year and we need your help to make this one our biggest yet!!
We will be hosting a local cleanup at The Indiana Dunes State Park Beach on Lake Michigan... But you can participate from anywhere in the world! Registration is required so we can track the number of locations & participants.

For our local participants, meet us at our Mermaid Straw tent between the Pavillion and the creek at 9am to sign in.
Things to bring:
1. Closed-toe shoes, sneakers, or water shoes
2. Reusable Water Bottle
3. Snacks
4. Sunscreen, Hat, and Sunglasses
Reusable bags and gloves will be provided (sizes Small through XL only).
Local volunteers will also be treated to FREE iced coffee, cupcakes/cookies, and a water refill station. All provided by our awesome cleanup partners Fluid Coffee, Designer Desserts & Coastal Valley Water Co.
BONUS! Our Mermaid Straw Mermaid will be there giving out FREE fun eco-friendly reusable treasures from her treasure chest.
Individuals & groups of all ages welcome! Just let the gate attendant know you are there for the Mermaid Straw Cleanup for FREE entry to the park.
As we said, not local? No worries! You can participate from anywhere in the world! Join our cleanup efforts by cleaning up your local nature preserve, park, or even around your own neighborhood.
Your participation efforts will be added to the total impact our global Mermaid Straw community makes this year.
