6th Annual Sunshine Ballston Spa Kids Lemonade Stand Benefit

Ribbon Cafe and the Ballston Spa Sunshine Kids will host their 6th Annual Lemonade Stand Benefit, a family-friendly fundraising event to support Olivia, a 12-year-old from the Saratoga area who is currently undergoing treatment for Ewing Sarcoma, a rare children’s cancer that affects only about 200 children in the United States each year.
After experiencing neck and shoulder pain for several weeks, Olivia was diagnosed with a tumor at the top of her spine. She recently underwent surgery to remove the tumor, but because of its location, doctors were unable to remove all of it. Olivia now faces a difficult 12-month treatment journey that will include chemotherapy at the Melodies Center at Albany Med and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, along with proton radiation treatments this summer at the Proton Center in NYC.
This year's benefit for Olivia features FREE kids’ activities, including:
● A bounce house
● Face painting
● Live music
● Fire trucks to explore
● Crafts
● Raffles
● Food & Lemonade!
Plus, local organizations and groups are joining in support, including:
● Ballston Spa Fire Department
● Ballston Spa EMS
● Ballston Spa Wrestling & Football Teams
● Boy Scouts Pack 4002 Ballston Spa
● The Saratoga Children’s Museum
● Local performances from dancers and singers
● And many more!
