6th Annual Richmond Chess Festival

Celebrate National Chess Day at the Richmond Chess Festival!

It’s that time again! Tickets go on sale October 1st, so be sure to sign up for reminders and secure your spot.

Join the West Coast Chess Alliance on Saturday, October 25th, starting at 10:00 AM at COBIZ Richmond for a fun-filled, family-friendly day of FREE, unrated, stress-free chess! Whether you’re a beginner, an experienced player, or just looking for a fun way to spend the day, there’s something for everyone.

Activities include:

• Simul with a Grandmaster: 1:00 PM – Test your skills in a fast-paced, fun exhibition against a chess master!
• Quad Tournament (G30, Non-Rated): 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM

- Pairings announced at 12:15 PM

-Three rounds: 12:30 PM | 1:30 PM | 2:30 PM

• Introduction to Chess Class: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

-Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills

• Bughouse Chess: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

-A fun four-player variant played in teams of two on two boards. Strategy and teamwork make all the difference!

• Casual Play & More: Enjoy free play, friendly matches, and socializing with fellow chess enthusiasts
