The German Society of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce the schedule for the 6th Annual Bösendorfer Youth Music Festival!Registration will open: December 10, 2025 (Registration Link will follow!)
Registration will close: February 13, 2026
Notification of Medalists: March 6, 2026
Concert: March 22, 2026 at 3pm
We invite any individual musician from Grade 1 to 12 to sign up to compete.
Musicians and ensembles will be classified into four age groups:
- Elementary (grade 1-5)
- Junior (grade 6-8)
- Senior (grade 9-12)
- Mixed Age Ensemble
Only Classical music - String, Piano, Emsemble will be accepted, and participants must submit a copy of sheet music - with numbered measures - and a link to their audition video below. Performances should be kept to a maximum of eight (8) minutes per entry. Judges will provide feedback to participants and select Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalists for each age group and instrument category.
Gold and Silver medalists will be notified by March 6th, 2026 and will go on to perform in a concert for the public on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3pm.
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalists will receive medals, and all participants will receive certificates.
The registration fee is $75 per individual musician and $115 per ensemble. The German Society accepts check, credit card, and PayPal.
The German Society of Pennsylvania is located in a historic building at 611 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. More info about the Society can be found at www.germansociety.org. The Society's beautiful Barthelmes Auditorium features outstanding acoustics where guest artists perform as part of its annual classical concert series. There is a Bösendorfer grand piano on stage.
