Meaningful Minds United Announces “Bubble Blast: Featuring the Bubble Olympics” for National Recovery Month
LAFAYETTE, LA — Meaningful Minds United is bringing a burst of family fun, laughter, music, and community spirit to Lafayette with “Bubble Blast: Featuring the Bubble Olympics,” a unique National Recovery Month celebration designed to bring families and the community together while celebrating recovery, resilience, support systems, and the people who help make recovery possible.
The free family event will take place Saturday, September 19th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Girard Park, 500 Girard Park Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana.
“Bubble Blast” puts a playful twist on the traditional community celebration by turning bubbles into the stars of a one-of-a-kind family competition.
Six Bubble Olympics Events
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in six fun and entertaining bubble events:
- Bubble Egg Race – Keep your bubble “egg” intact while racing to the finish.
- Bubble Hopscotch – Hop, jump and pop your way through a bubbly course.
- Bubble Volleyball – Team up and keep the bubble in the air.
- Bubble Archery – Aim, launch and hit the bubble target.
- Bubble Speed Pop – See who can pop the most bubbles in a race against the clock.
- World’s Largest Bubble Competition – Create an enormous bubble and compete to see who can make the biggest bubble of the day.
Free Treats, Prizes & Trophies
The fun doesn't stop with the competition. Free frozen treats will be available to participants, along with prizes and plenty of opportunities for families to enjoy the celebration together.
Champions of the Bubble Olympics will have the chance to take home trophies and bragging rights, making Bubble Blast a competition families will remember.
“Bubble Blast is about much more than bubbles,” said a representative of Meaningful Minds United. “It’s about creating a place where families can laugh together, meet their neighbors, celebrate recovery and resilience, and build positive memories. Sometimes something as simple as a bubble can bring people together.”
Celebrating Recovery Through Community
National Recovery Month recognizes the millions of people living in recovery and celebrates the families, friends, health care professionals, community organizations, and support systems that help individuals build healthier and more fulfilling lives.
Meaningful Minds United is inviting people in recovery, their families and supporters, health care providers, community organizations, and the entire Acadiana community to come out and celebrate.
The event will also feature music, family entertainment, food resources, vendors, bubble games, and activities for all ages.
