The Boy Scouts’ annual Easter service at the cross on top of the Paxinos Mountain is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4th. Participants are encouraged to come early to take in the view, meditate and fellowship. After Saturday’s service, a time of fellowship and a hot dog roast will be provided.To drive to the site directly, take Route 61 to Irish Valley Road, turn right onto School House Road, then turn right onto Fig Road and drive to the top of the hill. Volunteers will be on hand to direct vehicle parking.
The cross site is about a one-mile walk through the woods. There will also be a van shuttling between the cross and Fig Road for those who choose not to walk.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
