60 Years of Civil Rights: A Community Mixtape Celebration

Hosted on July 20 at the Studio Loft, this event, in collaboration with Denver NAACP, ACLU Colorado, One Colorado, Colorado Asian Pacific United, Servicios de La Raza, Atlantis Community, Inc., and other valuable community partners, will encompass music, food, spoken word, poets, guest speakers, and community acts. It aims to pay homage to the courageous legislation and honor the intersectionalities of social justice movements locally and nationally.

PARKING AT THE ELLIE CAULKINS OPERA HOUSE

Garage parking is available in the Denver Performing Arts Complex and Colorado Convention Center garages. However, please note that both the DPAC and Convention Center frequently hosts several events a day, and the garages can fill up quickly—especially on weekends. Please plan to arrive early to secure parking! Or, consider alternate forms of transportation, including RTD Bus and Light Rail, Uber, or Lyft.

THE DENVER PERFORMING ARTS COMPLEX GARAGE

This is the most convenient option for accessing the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and is operated by the City and County of Denver. Entrances to the garage are located on both 13th Street and Arapahoe Street. The garage can accommodate 1700 vehicles and does fill up quickly on performance days.

Construction began January 22 to improve the Arts Complex Parking Garage. Expect heavy delays.

THE COLORADO CONVENTION CENTER PARKING GARAGE

This garage offers 1000 additional parking spaces and is located across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Patrons should take the Z elevators on the Champa Street side to “Street Level.” Then cross Champa at the signal and follow the 13th Street sidewalk to the DPAC. (The path is accessible and well-lit.) From there, take the DPAC Garage elevators to Level 3 to reach the Ellie Caulkins Opera House entrance.
