🌿 About the Session
This 60-minute class invites house helpers to unwind and reconnect through relaxing yoga, gentle postural stretches, breathing, and simple voice vibration techniques.
These practices are inspired by yoga and supported by scientific research on how breathing and vocal vibrations can stimulate the vagus nerve — a key pathway that helps regulate calm, digestion, and emotional balance.
(For example, studies have shown that slow breathing can increase vagal tone and relaxation responses, while vocal resonance shows promise as a potential mechanism (see Gerritsen & Band, 2018, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience; Porges, 2011, Psychophysiology.)
🧘 Practices Include:
• Voice Vibrational Practice (simple humming or gentle sound)
• Relaxing Postural Practice (gentle stretches and supported poses)
• Breathing Practice for Calmness
💡 Who It’s For:
House helpers seeking affordable, community-based yoga in a studio for relaxation and wellbeing. No prior yoga experience is needed. Employers are welcome to join their helper too! :)
💰 Fee: SGD 7 per session – covers studio rental only. The teacher-trainee does not earn from this event. (Market rate for yoga classes are between SGD 15 - 30 onwards/ 60 min class)
📅 Period: November 2025 – March 2026 (final schedule will depend on interest).
🕒 Flexible Timing:
Participants may indicate preferred day and time (morning, afternoon, evening) through a short poll thru the QR code in the image above)
💬 Feedback Welcome:
Participants may share reflections after each session to help improve future community classes.

This initiative aims to make yoga accessible for Singapore’s house helper and their employers who wishes to show love, care and appriciation towards their house helper. :)
