6-WEEK SOUL SISTERS SESSION- Art Journaling & Mixed Media (Women, 18+ yrs.)

Soul Sisters art sessions offer beginner-friendly, free-spirited opportunities to help us grow in our creativity and enjoy some peaceful, restorative self-care.

We'll explore a variety of art mediums and themes, and use art as a means to explore and voice our feelings and ideas in an intuitive and expressive way.

These are NOT technical art classes.These are feel-good, soothe-the-soul art classes.

Our focus will be on self-exploration, approaching art with a sense of curiousity and playfulness, taking time to turn inward and connect with our higher self, and enjoying social interaction with fellow women!

Each 6-week session includes 4 art journaling classes, 1 clay class, and 1 mixed media class.

At the start of each class, Rose will introduce the art theme/activity; and will provide a variety of interesting art materials and creativity-inspiring prompts to spark your imagination!

Gentle guidance is provided throughout; however, activities are primarily self-led for a creative art experience that is introspective, meaningful, and empowering.

No prior art experience is required... Just desire to peacefully create with others, and to nurture yourself and your creativity.

ABOUT THIS SESSION (Sept 17th-Oct 22nd, 1:00-3:30 pm):

CLASS 1- ART JOURNALING

Using watercolour and dry media, we'll sketch our spirit animals and their surroundings, to explore our own personalities, desires, and needs.

CLASS 2- ART JOURNALING

We'll create a tarot card collage to manifest our dreams.

CLASS 3- ART JOURNALING

We'll create pretty paper flower cut-outs and add hand-drawn embellishments and meaningful words to "grow" a garden of self-love.

CLASS 4- ART JOURNALING

We'll trace our hand to create a paper Hamsa design, and then use mixed media to explore the chakras and elements associated with each finger.

CLASS 5- CLAY PLAY

Using air-dry clay, we'll sculpt magical winged critters; such as moths, butterflies, and bugs.

​CLASS 6- MIXED MEDIA ART PIECE

We'll channel our inner costume designer (and child) and design dynamic paper masks that are symbolic of the masks we wear in life. Or maybe, you'll choose to simply play with materials to create an interesting aesthetic. Artist's choice.

$225 + HST/6-week session
** Journals are NOT included in the above fee, but will be available for purchase at the studio. You can also bring your own mixed media sketchbook if your prefer, or use loose-leaf paper (provided)

**Complimentary snacks and tea provided.

**Classes are kept small for a peaceful and relaxed vibe.
**Aprons are not provided. Please wear art-friendly clothes.

REFUND POLICY:

Ticket Fees are *NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid in full upon registration. Refunds will NOT be issued for non-attendance (including non-attendance due to illness) nor for late arrivals.

*If the Studio cancels an art class you will be issued a full refund.

​If you are unable to attend your art class you are welcome to gift your spot to someone else. Alternatively, you are welcome to request a studio credit (valued at the same cost as the missed art class) so long as you provide a minimum of 14 day's notice via email. Studio credit will NOT be issued when less than 14 day's notice is given.
