5th Annual Mother's Day High Tea

Our 5th Annual Mother’s Day High Tea returns to High Beam Dreams on May 9, and this year we are celebrating with a theme close to our hearts: From the Garden.

Inspired by the herbs and flowers that grow right here at High Beam Dream, this year’s high tea menu highlights floral and herbal flavours woven thoughtfully into every bite. Think lavender, thyme, mint, rosemary, and citrus, all coming together in a menu that feels fresh, nostalgic, and deeply comforting.

Guests will enjoy a relaxed and elegant high tea experience designed to slow you down and savour the moment.

Gluten-free and vegan options will be available, with select items thoughtfully adapted to accommodate dietary needs.

Guest Chef: Hilary Prince

This year’s high tea is crafted by Hilary Prince, a pastry chef based in Halfmoon Bay. With a background in science and a deep love for hands-on creativity, Hilary found her natural home in baking and pastry early on. She began cooking while attending university in Montreal and has since worked in kitchens across Montreal and Vancouver before settling on the Sunshine Coast with her family in 2020. Her work is thoughtful, seasonal, and rooted in both technique and heart.

Live Piano: Luci Herder

With the beauty of our garden as inspiration, guests will enjoy a relaxed and elegant indoor high tea experience, accompanied by live piano music, designed to slow you down and savour the moment.

A Few Important Notes

• Dress for Tea: There is no pressure here.
• All are welcome: This celebration is not just for women. Mothers, grandmothers, friends, partners, and anyone who wants to honour the spirit of Mother’s Day is warmly invited.
• Garden inspired: Many of the herbs featured are grown right here at High Beam Dreams, including lavender, thyme, mint, lemon balm, rosemary, dill, and edible flowers.
