5th Annual Earth Day Clothing Swap

In honor of Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, we invite you to finish your spring cleaning by bringing your extra, gently used clothes to this local clothing swap. Its better than thrift because its FREE!

A clothing swap is a clothing exchange where people share their once loved, and gently used clothing with others who share theirs. Just gather your unwanted clothes from last year or any season and bring them to the swap where they may find a new home, new style and live on for many more years. Search piles of other peoples items to build your wardrobe in a no cost exchange between fashion lovers.

One of the most obvious benefits of swapping your clothes is the benefit to the environment. Clothing swaps promote slow fashion vs. fast fashion and are an environmentally friendly reuse strategy that helps reduce our environmental footprint while supporting a circular economy. Besides, you'll get a fresh wardrobe, at no additional charge while building community and donating to those in need. All leftover clothing will be donated locally. A true win-win shopping experience!

Join us for an epic clothing swap in honor of Earth Day 2025, an official EarthDay.org event.

TAKE AT LOOK AT OUR SWAP RULES:

All genders, all sizes, all seasons ADULT clothing and accessories.

YES: Tops, vests, bottoms, leggings, tights, suits, fitness wear, swim suits, sleep/robes, winter gear, belts, hats, bags, shoes.

NO: Children's or baby clothes, undergarments, socks or bras.

So fresh and so clean: All clothing items must be freshly washed.

One man's trash...is still trash: Please only bring freshly washed, reuseable clothing items. No holes, smells, stains, broken zippers, missing buttons, rips, pet hair, etc.

Sharing is caring: While there will be no ticket/token system to regulate what each person brings and takes, remember to be fair, courteous and generous with one another.

Duel at dawn: But if two people discover the same item at the same time, the dispute must be settled with rock, paper, scissors OR a coin toss. All results are final.

RSVP appreciated: Typically we welcome over 100 of the best swappers who bring the most interesting goodies to dig through. No tickets are required for the event, but we'd love to get an estimate on how many we'll be expecting so an RSVP through Eventbrite would be greatly appreiated.

Parking: SFTA has a small, free parking lot. Carpools encouraged.
All unclaimed clothing donated to Homebase, a local organization that distributes free clothing to unhoused people year round.
