This is the largest sumo event in the country following Team USA’s return from the 2024 World Sumo Championships in Thailand, and marks a major moment in the sport’s continued growth on American soil.

Lightweight Men and Women
Info: Lightweight vs Heavyweight Sumo – What's the Difference?
While most people picture massive rikishi clashing in the dohyo, lightweight sumo offers a faster, more dynamic style of competition. In contrast to the sheer force of traditional heavyweight bouts, lightweight sumo is all about speed, agility, and precision technique.
You'll see lightning-fast footwork, sharp throws, and split-second counters that keep you on the edge of your seat. Think less bulldozer, more ninja.

Middleweight Men and Women
Info: Middleweight vs Heavyweight Sumo – Not Just About Size
Middleweight sumo is where power meets agility. These athletes are strong enough to throw and lift, but quick enough to dodge and counter. It’s a fast-paced, technical style that blends strength and strategy—proving that sumo isn’t just for the biggest guys in the room.
While heavyweights rely more on mass and pressure, middleweights keep things unpredictable with explosive movement and smart tactics. It’s sumo with balance, finesse, and big-time action.

🕑: 01:00 PM - 01:45 PM
Light Heavyweight Men and Women
Info: Light heavyweight sumo is the sweet spot where power, speed, and technique collide. These athletes are big enough to bring serious force, but still agile enough to move, counter, and throw with precision.
Expect fast-paced bouts with the impact of heavyweight clashes and the finesse of lighter divisions. It’s an unpredictable, high-energy style that keeps fans on their feet—and proves that in sumo, skill matters just as much as size.

Live Performance 3 (TBA)
🕑: 02:00 PM - 02:45 PM
Heavyweight Men and Women
Info: This is the sumo most people imagine—massive power, raw force, and bone-rattling impact. When two heavyweight rikishi collide, it’s like watching titans clash. Every step shakes the floor, every bout feels like a battle of wills.
But don’t be fooled—it’s not just size. These athletes are surprisingly fast, incredibly skilled, and masters of leverage and control. It’s high-stakes, high-impact sumo where one well-timed move can end it all in a flash.
Heavyweight sumo is the thunder at the heart of the sport—undeniable, unstoppable, unforgettable.
🕑: 02:45 PM - 03:45 PM
OPEN WEIGHT Men and Women
Info: The Open Weight category in international sumo allows wrestlers of any size or weight to compete against each other. This category highlights pure strength, technique, and strategy, where smaller, faster rikishi can face off against much larger opponents, making for dynamic and unpredictable matches. It celebrates the traditional spirit of sumo, where skill and heart often outweigh sheer size.
