5th Annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release
5th Annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release
Tuesday, June 23, 2025
5:30 - 7:00 PM
Share Hope Memorial Garden (8th & Gilbert, Coeur d'Alene)
This beautiful, non-denominational ceremony is open to all who wish to honor the memory of loved ones in a meaningful way.
We'll be releasing humanely-raised, regionally native Painted Lady butterflies provided by the University of Idaho Entomology Department - symbols of transformation, hope, and the continuing impact of lives well-lived.
During the ceremony, you'll have the opportunity to write private notes to departed loved ones on special dissolvable paper. Watch as your words dissolve in the memorial fountain, carrying your messages with the butterflies on their journey.
All are welcome to join this sacred time of community healing and remembrance.
Additional parking available at Saint Pius X Church
Brought to you by Auburn Crest Hospice, Northwest Infant Survival & SIDS Alliance (NISSA), and the University of Idaho.
