5th Annual Christmas in July Paddle

IT'S THAT TIME ALL!
The Christmas in July Paddle is my favorite of the season, and I cannot believe we are on year 5 already! This paddle was just a thought at the beginning of the 2022 PnP season, and everyone took to it with a ton of enthusiasm making it truly a wonderful annual event. For those of you who are new to the group, this is not one to miss! Christmas Attire and board decorations are not required, buy HIGHLY recommended (as you can see from the cover photo, this event gets festive!)
We have this paddle on the 25th of July every year, this year it just happens to be on a Saturday. A Saturday paddle on the Cuyahoga brings certain nuances, so there will be a few new logistical items this year:
1) Parking: With this being a Saturday in peak season, Merwins' parking lot will likely be full. Cleveland Rowing Foundation is offering up their parking lot for $5 donation per car. PLEASE leave the main Merwins lot (in front of the restaurant) open, and only park in the side lot if space is available. I will have parking passes for anyone who needs to park in CRF. Cash, Paypal, Zelle and Venmo will all be accepted (there will be an opportunity the week of to pre purchase parking passes if you so choose).
2) River Traffic: Again being peak season and a weekend, the river boat traffic is expected to be heavier than years past. It will be very important that we stay "River Right" as far as possible, and try our best to keep the chain 2 people wide..........I am looking for a few volunteers to help ensure we are being safe, by paddling alongside the main chain to ensure that everyone stays safe and we do not clog the river.
