Join us for the 5th Annual Bret Bigelow Foundation Fundraiser as we come together to honor Bret's legacy and support children in Metro Detroit hospitals.
The Bret Bigelow Foundation was established in honor of Mark and Katie's son, Bret, who passed away in 2013. Throughout his life, Bret faced numerous health challenges and spent much of his time in and out of hospitals. During those hospital stays, traditional patient gowns often failed to meet his needs, leaving him uncomfortable and exposed.
To help make Bret more comfortable, Katie began creating custom pajamas specifically designed to accommodate his medical care. These pajamas provided warmth, dignity, and comfort while still allowing medical staff easy access for treatment.
Today, the Bret Bigelow Foundation is committed to providing these specialized pajamas to children like Bret who are living with chronic or terminal illnesses.
When most children are admitted to the hospital, they are given standard hospital gowns that can leave them feeling vulnerable and exposed. Our custom-designed pajamas allow children to remain fully clothed while receiving the medical care they need.
These pajamas help restore a sense of comfort, dignity, and normalcy during difficult hospital stays.
All proceeds from our 5th Annual Fundraiser will be used to create and distribute pajamas to children receiving care in Metro Detroit hospitals. These children often require ongoing treatment and frequent hospital visits, making comfortable and functional clothing an important part of their care experience.
