The Abused Adult Resource Center (AARC) has been supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking for almost 50 years. We serve south-central North Dakota, offering 24/7 emergency help, crisis support, shelter,

food, counseling, and advocacy.

Our mission is to give survivors, and their families hope and a path to move forward, free from abuse. Breaking the cycle of violence takes all of us, and we’re here to make a difference together.

When survivors and their kids flee unsafe homes, they often leave with almost nothing. With your help and generosity, we help them get the essentials they need as part of their journeys of empowerment and a life free of abuse.

As survivors transition from our shelters to a place of their own, they often need basic household items to start their new life. We provide what they need to make their new home safe and welcoming, so they can take the next step toward independence and the ability to thrive on their own
