The five rhythms are: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness™. There are no steps to learn; just allow your body to respond to the music in its own way. There is no way to do this “wrong”. A good place to begin is to simply move your feet and pay attention to your breath. Each rhythm is a teacher. As you practice moving with these energetic states you can deepen your relationship to your body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit. People in the room will have a wide range of experience. Your own dance will be unique. It can be subtle, powerful, revealing and, over time, it can be transformative.Come dance with us:

ABOUT THE 5RHYTHMS®Created by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms® is a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness, and awareness into action. Where the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe place for each of us to shatter the ego's hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.
Wave begins at 6:30pm. Feel free to arrive as early as 6:15pm to warm up, there will be music playing. The closing circle is at 8:30pm. There will usually be two waves and guidance. Please dress in comfortable clothes. Barefoot is preferred.
Classes are taught by Certified 5Rhythms® Teachers Majica Alba or Bella Dreizler. We occasionally have visiting teachers as well.
2026: No class on 4/1, 4/8 and no classes in JULY.
